During Patrick’s tenure with the contract electronic manufacturer (“CEM”), he observed that most CEMs were targeting high volume customers only, leaving the mid to low volume customers with low priority, second-rate service. In 2002, with Wynda’s business and accounting background and Patrick’s contract electronic manufacturing experience, they decided to put their expertise to work, and started PM Assembly as an evening side business (hence the name “PM” Assembly) to provide the smaller, lower volume customers with the same level of service the large customers have come to expect. Within eight months business had grown to the point that the assembly work could no longer be completed timely as a side business, so the decision was made for Patrick to run the assembly operations on a full-time basis and for Wynda to continue to run the business side of PM Assembly and to also be employed elsewhere to lessen the financial burden on PM Assembly and to be able reinvest any profit back into the company. In 2004, PM Assembly was organized into a Limited Partnership with Wynda as a 50% limited partner, Patrick as a 49% limited partner, and PM Assembly LLC (formerly PM Assembly GP LLC) as a 1% general partner. In 2009, PM Assembly had grown to the point that Wynda could no longer effectively sustain both positions and she joined PM Assembly on a full-time basis. Because this move meant both limited partners would then be working for the limited partnership, the decision was made to restructure PM Assembly LLC into the operating entity with Wynda as President and 51% member and Patrick as 49% member.PM Assembly was founded in December of 2002 with three main goals in mind: - Deliver Products and Services of the Highest of Quality.
